If you stay in the findom world long enough, you will encounter people who hate the whole idea of the fetish. They’ll say it’s not a real kink, and it’s just greedy girls scamming men out of money.
Lifestyle BDSM
The folks who say this sort of thing may be lifestyle dommes or subs from the BDSM community. Folks into the lifestyle live their kinks, rather than doing them for pay. So, they may have a D/s relationship going that has nothing to do with money, and everything to do with serving.
Living your kinks is a totally valid thing. Unfortunately, there is no way to live as a findomme without the exchange of money. The folks seeking to invalidate findom don’t really acknowledge that there are subs whose kink is being financially controlled. How can you satisfy this kink without surrendering your finances? You can’t.
Sugar lifestyle
Some folks have trouble understanding the difference between findom and sugaring, and lump findommes in with sugar babies. These are two completely different things.
Sugar babies do take money and gifts from their daddies, but they are often not the dominant partner. And unlike findommes, sugar babies are often required to do things in exchange for those gifts. It’s very difficult to keep a long term sugar daddy on the hook without some sort of sexual favors being expected.
Wherever women make money…
As I’ve said in other articles, wherever women are making money, there will always be people (mostly, but not exclusively, men) who want to take it, condemn the method of making it, and just generally hate on the women making it. It doesn’t matter what you’re doing.
I’ve been earning my living as one type of creator or another for over 20 years, and for over 20 years, there has been a steady stream of people shitting on me for how I work, the type of work I produce, how I write, the color of my hair, you name it. Women earning their living independently seems to trigger some people. I just don’t have time to respond to their tender feelings, beyond telling them to enjoy their stay on my block list.
Don’t let anyone tell you that whatever you’re doing isn’t real, or valid. Don’t let them convince you to stop doing your thing. You do you, and to hell with what anyone thinks about it, OK?
"As I’ve said in other articles, wherever women are making money, " exactly this. Anytime a woman sets out to put her needs and interests ahead of men she's roasted for it. It's horrible.
