Is this a scam?
Unfortunately, wherever women are making money, there are scammers ready to take it from them. Findom is rife with scams.
Is this a scam?
If you receive a message you’re not sure of, check it against this list:
Does the message ask you to send money, or send to receive money, or pay a fee? It’s a scam. Never pay anyone to send you money. They will disappear the moment they receive your payment. Is he approaching you out of the blue, saying he’s a sugar daddy, or just wants someone to talk to, and wants to give you an allowance? This is part of the same scam. He will need a fee from you, or payment to add you to his sugar baby list. Again: never pay someone to pay you. Dommes don’t pay. We get paid.
Are they insisting on paying you with a payment method you don’t offer? It’s a scam. Subs don’t tell you how they want to pay. You tell them. This is extra scammy if they’re insisting they must pay via crypto.
Have they sent you multiple messages without paying your initial tribute? Or do they ignore you when you mention sending a tribute? It’s a scam. Real subs know to pay a tribute before contacting you, or to pay it when you mention it. People who refuse or ignore your tribute are trying to get you to chat with them for free. Don’t do it.
Are they requesting content, or your time, but say they’re unable to pay until payday? It’s a scam. Tell them to contact you when they have payment. Always get payments before you do anything with a potential sub. Never give content or time to anyone who hasn’t paid for it.
Are they asking you for video or photo verification, even though you’re verified on an adult site? It’s one of several scams. Sometimes, it’s people wanting free custom content. Sometimes, it’s people wanting to use your photos or videos to catfish. Point these people to your verification site. That’s all they really need if they’re for real.
Are they claiming to be with a modeling agency, or even worse, a “paypig agency”? It’s a scam. Most of these messages come from people who just want a cut of your income, without doing anything for you.
Are they insisting on buying from your Amazon wishlist, or sending you Amazon gift card codes? It’s a scam. It’s extra scammy if they’re doing this in exchange for content or a session. They will cancel the orders as soon as they have what they want, and you will have worked for free. Remember: you set the payment methods. And if you have a wishlist, put it on Throne instead of Amazon.
Are they saying they’ll give you half your fee now, and the other half when the session is over? Or when it’s halfway over? Or just won’t pay until you’re done? It’s a scam. They want as much as they can get for half your fee. Know your value, and get full payment up front. You’re a domme. You tell them when they’ll pay. No pay, no play.
Are they claiming they’ve been hurt by their previous domme, or scammed, or blackmailed? It’s a scam. They think you’ll feel sorry for them, or you’ll want to show them that you’re the good kind of domme. Don’t fall for this. Call them on their BS, and send them on their way.
Are they offering to send you their credit card number? It’s a scam. Either the card is stolen, or they plan to report it stolen. Both could get you arrested for fraud.
Are they sending a photo of a receipt, claiming they’ve paid you, but there’s no record of the transaction in your payment method’s dashboard? It’s a scam. They haven’t paid, and have no intention of paying. They’re just trolling for freebies.
Are they immediately trying to move you to another chat platform, even though you’re chatting just fine where you are? It’s a scam. Really, it’s one of two scams. The first one is that they’re trying to inflate their follower numbers on that platform, and have no intention of ever responding to you there. The other one is more dangerous: they’ll try to get you to sext, or send adult photos or videos, and then claim they’re underage, and are going to report you to the police unless you pay them blackmail money. Don’t fall for either of these scams. You’re the domme. You decide where to chat.
Is their DM a photo of text about anything listed on this page? It’s always a scam, and it’s really lazy. Delete and block.
Are they asking to use your photo for a painting or mural? It’s a scam. They’re going to ask for money for supplies. A real artist would offer to license your photo, and pay you a fee, rather than asking you for money.
Does the profile of someone who follows you fit this description?
Female profile pic; female first name with a simple last name; following hundreds or thousands of people, but has under 100 followers; has no bio; has no link list; has no age verification; has no posts.
This person is going to send you a DM pretty quickly after you follow them back. The DM will approach you as if you’re a sub or content buyer, and will include a link. Don’t click the link. This is a phishing scam.
Is it someone offering to send you sex toys? Might not be a scam. There really are sex toy manufacturers on social media, offering free products in exchange for Amazon reviews. However, many of them ask for a PayPal account, and most sex workers won’t use PayPal, because they’re so hostile to anything they even think might be sex work.
What to do with scammers
Block them. Post a screenshot of their message to your engagement groups, so everyone else can block them. Delete the message. Go on with your day. Don’t yell at them, or call them names, or even respond at all. Some of them just want to make a domme mad, so they get a free humiliation session. Give them nothing.
Set up an unblock fee on Wishtender. Mine is currently $100. Pay me, and I might unblock you. Or I might not. It’s not a fee I ever expect anyone to pay, and really only exists so I have a link for this next bit:
Occasionally, I mess with scammers. I pretend not to understand them. Especially sugar daddies. I tell them random things, or a story. Honestly, if I’m not busy, I will waste as much of their time as I can, without giving them anything they could ever want, before dropping a link to my unblock fee, and blocking them.
What can I say? I grab the entertainment where I can get it…
