Should I send a custom verification video?
Short answer to this one: absolutely not. No. Never.
You’re a smart, ethical domme, right? You’ve gone through the process of getting age verified on an adult site. You have that information linked in your link list, and in your bio on social media. Maybe you’ve even done a quickie verification video that’s pinned to the top of your Twitter page.
That’s all the verification any sub should need. Don’t be sucked in by “I need proof it’s really you”. It’s just a ploy, because…
This is a scam
Asking you for a custom video with their name or some other sort of identification in it is a scam. It’s getting you to give them custom content for free, under the guise of wanting to be sure they’re not getting catfished.
It’s not your job as a findomme to jump through hoops for a sub, and no real finsub would ever ask that of you. If someone says they’re a sub, and then demands anything of you, for free, they are not a sub.
Also, there are folks out there looking for material to use to catfish. Asking for custom language in a video is one way they do this. They may already be using your photos to catfish someone with the name they’ve given you to say. Don’t supply them with any content that facilitates catfishing.
Alternate ways to put a sub at ease
Let’s say you have the one in a million sub who really is skittish, because they’ve had a bad experience previously. There are far better ways to verify than making them a piece of custom content.
Offer to set up a video chat, using a service like Premium Chat, where they will be charged per minute to speak with you. That way, you get paid, and the sub gets to see that it’s you they’re speaking with. If they decline this, you’ll know there’s a problem, and can respond accordingly.
Stay safe out there, findommes!
