How do I age verify a sub?

While dommes usually do age verification as they set up their identities, subs often show up in your inbox unverified. So, how do you verify that the person you’re speaking with is an adult?

The adult site method

The easiest way to verify that a sub is an adult is to ask if they’re on any adult sites. If they’re on LF, OF, FetLife, or any of the adult sites you might be using, chances are they’ve been verified there, just like you have. Ask them for a link to their profile, and tell them you’re going to say hello to them there to verify it’s their account. Easy.

My personal policy is not to continue with a sub who isn’t on any adult sites, and unwilling to join one to get verified. I explain to them that any good domme will ask for this at some point, so they may as well get it over with.

The ID method

If your sub isn’t on any adult sites, and you want to continue with them, try the ID method of verification. Ask the sub to take a photo of their government ID, and block out their address and last name. All you need is their photo, first name, and birth date.

If they refuse

Some potential subs get offended if a domme asks for verification. If I run into one of these, I explain that it’s for my protection, and without verification, we can’t move forward. For me, it’s just not worth it. You’ll have to decide what you feel is necessary to keep yourself safe.
