Getting paid as a findomme, without disclosing your identity and address, is more complicated than you might think. Add to this the sex worker hate most payment platforms have, and you end up with a very small number of payment processors suitable for a findomme’s use.
Fortunately, there are a few available that won’t give you much hassle.
Payment methods that don’t use Stripe
Some payment sites that claim to be safe for everyone use Stripe as their payment processor. Stripe is openly hostile to adult content and sex work. I recommend bailing out immediately on any site that asks you to set up a Stripe account during their registration process.
Why? You will eventually get your account banned, or the site itself will be shut down, because Stripe will revoke the ability for it to process payments. Best case, you’re left scrambling to find a replacement payment option. Worst case, our whole community is left high and dry (hello, Wishtender).
So, here’s a list of payment options that don’t use Stripe, or don’t use it exclusively:
OnlyFans, LoyalFans, and Fansly are all sites that dommes commonly use for verification, so why not put them to use as payment processors. Subs will have to make an account on whichever one you use, and can pay you via tips.
Wishlistpage is a gifting site that is similar to Throne in setup and function, but more friendly to sex workers. YouPay is also good, and offers a variety of ways to get paid, including Amazon gift card codes.
MintStars is an adult-friendly content platform where you can take payments for subscriptions and content. They have a tipping feature that is useful. (2DFDs, this site is probably not for you.) Fanvue also says it allows adult content.
TipFunder is an adult-friendly tipping site that may be useful in taking payments. Be sure to read their FAQ to learn about how payouts are done. Also, their profile photo policy makes this site unfriendly to 2DFDs.
CashApp isn’t really a completely safe payment method. There’s language in their TOS that precludes use for sex work or selling of adult materials. Still, some dommes use it at the moment, for subs they know well. It’s not suitable for drains, because many small payments close together will cause close scrutiny. But for once in a while payments, it’s safe.
Premium Chat allows you to get paid by the minute for text chats, audio chats and video chats—-and then, your sub can tip you extra. Good for drains and general chat that you don’t want to do for free. Do not sign up to receive payouts via Payoneer or PayPal!
If you understand how to take cryptocurrencies, and know their value, and how to tell whether what’s being sent is a payment or a scam, Coinbase is safe to use. If you’re not clear about any of those things, hold off, and add this topic to your research list.
Payment methods that use Stripe
I’m not saying don’t use these. I am saying that if you use them, and your account gets shut down, or the site goes under, because Stripe realizes there are sex workers using it, you have nobody to blame but yourself.
Throne, Tributify, YouPay and GoWishMe are all wishlist style sites, and they all use Stripe. GoWishMe says they don’t use it in a way that would trigger a site shutdown, but honestly, I’m dubious.
Patreon uses Stripe in the US, and honestly, has a repressive set of community guidelines. I know there are sex workers and adult creators using it, but I also know that quite a few people have awakened to their community completely shutdown, permanently, with no warning or appeal. Avoid it.
Payment methods to avoid completely
Do not use the following payment methods. Ever. You risk getting your account terminated, your balance confiscated, and/or your personal information being visible. It’s not worth it.
Paypal
Venmo
Square
Amazon (this includes Amazon wishlists)
WePay
Google Wallet
Ko-fi
Buy Me a Coffee
In addition, avoid all direct gift card payments. There are SO many gift card scams out there, it’s just not worth it. Go through one of the wish list sites above that offer the card you want.
Some last words of advice
When it comes to payments, you decide what you can safely accept, not the sub. You tell him what payment methods you accept. He does not tell you how he wants to pay. If he does, it’s a scam.
Also, if there is a payment method not on this list that you think should be, or that you’d like me to investigate to see if it’s safe, email me at MistressZynn@gmail.com, and I’ll dig into it.
